xmp in AMD X370 ATX

Hello there

My friend gaming pc using this one
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/

with 16 GB memory, but the problem is memory freq still 2133 and its self come with 3200 Mhz

and i coluld not find xmp profile 1 in the bios, so i wonder if there is anyway to make the memory work with 3200 Mhz

cpu: amd ryzen 7 1800 x
memory: corsair vengeance lpx 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4-3200 memory

any advice please

3200 will be hit or miss. 2933 should probably work. Probably called docp in bios since technically xmp is an Intel thing

Make sure the bios is the newest one or it'll be a lot less likely to work above 2133

The equivalent of XMP on AMD mobos is called DOCP I believe. Look for that. But like said above I doubt that memory will run at 3200mhz, unless it happens to be one of the more expensive samsung b die IC memory kits. Link the model number of your ram if you want me to check.

and why he cant run 3200? becouse the cpu?

Try DOCP 5 first, that's the fastest setting. If that doesn't work you can either try level 4 and lower or set the speed and timings manually.

Yes it has to do with the cpu, but i'm not really sure why ryzen has difficulty with higher memory speeds.
