XMP not available, WUT?

So I checked my BIOS to see if I could get a nice overclock on my CPU but for some weird reason I couldn't because there was no option to enable an XMP profile.

My RAM has the ability to make an XMP profile and my motherboard and CPU should too. In my motherboard manual it even says how to enable it but that botton isn't there in my BIOS. Do I have to somehow change the BIOS or did the company that put together my pc block the ability of overclocking to protect my system from myself?

Here is a list of all my components:
Asus R9 290X GPU
Intel core i-7 4770k CPU
Asus H97-pro MOBO
Corsair CMS3 8gb single DDR3 RAM
Samsung EVO 250gb SSD
Seagate Barracuda 2tb HDD
Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer Case
My PSU: Corsair RM1000
NZXT sleeved led kit white 2m (not really relevent, lol)

Here is a link to Corsair's site with info on my RAM. At the tech specs you'll find that is supports XMP. http://www.corsair.com/en-us/xms3-8gb-ddr3-memory-kit-cmx8gx3m1a1333c9

Thanks in advance!

Wow.. some company. They are either super sloppy about their jobs or were just trying to rip you off..
If you're looking for a good overclock on your CPU you should propably get the Z97-pro or pro Gamer, cause they will propably give you best results. But I don't know all the details and can't get to them right now. There may be a better choice for your dollar - ASUS makes great boards, but there are others: ASRock (there's a Extreme 6 board for example), the MSI Z97 Gaming is another great mobo.. There are motherboard reviews on this site that you can get into, but I'm sure you'll be happy with that z97-pro, if it's not too expensive.
If you're not in a hurry, get into the details a bit more, read some reviews, make a more conscious...
I already set my RAM speed at 1300 mhz but my BIOS doesn't allow me to overclocked my CPU without enabling the XMP profile. I cannot change the multiplyer of my CPU without changing this but the option to set AI overcloking mode (which is what it is called in my motherboard manual) to XMP is just missing, it is not there.

I tried updating the BIOS but when I download the latest one from the support.asus.com website for my MOBO ( http://www.asus.com/nl/Motherboards/Z97PRO/HelpDesk_Download/ ) I get a .CAP file. I tried using this but EZ flash doesn't see it as a propper BIOS file, when I try installing AI suite for EZ update I get a asacpiEX.dll error and when I typ /bupdater /pc /g in DOS via my diskdrive it says that it isn't a valid command or file name.

I used the renamer, but still didn't work with EZ flash

That's strange. Did you try using the USB BIOS Flashback tool?
Also did you try just restoring default settings in BIOS? Perhaps the XMP is not available because you've set the RAM speed manually.

I did clear my cmos a couple of weeks ago. This was when I had some major performance problems with my pc due to the AI suite autotune feature. It didn't fix the problem but it is fixed now. My RAM is in the first slot.

After using cleanup program I managed to install AI suite 3 again and even with this I do not have the option to change any frequencies. This function is clearly described in my MOBO manual and my processor is meant for overclocking so is my RAM preventing me from doing anything or did the company that built my PC block this option for some reason?

I'm not sure about "XMP only for 1600" thing, it clearly states on the manufacturers www that your RAM supports it. Perhaps that RAM was built for older motherboards that would run it @1033 by default, so one could use XMP to go to 1333. And if your BIOS goes to that max speed by default XMP is disabled. That could be it.
Now about that CPU overclocking. Is there a way to overclock without using that "easy OC" tool (AI tweaker, right?)? Disable that and do everything manually, with the CPU multipiler or BCLK.

Yup, that's the one. On the motherboard or on the back, right next to USB port, I'm not sure, but I think both can be used.
To check your USB drive file system plug it in, go to My Computer (win7), right click on the drive and choose Properties and it should be there on the first tab - file system.
I've got a feeling we may be on to something here :)
