Hello,

I have probléms with XMP profile and even without. Problem is RAMs should ran at 6400MHz (certified rams for this speed), but its working on 5600MHz. Any idea what to do? I tried reset CMOS, variable voltage settings in BIOS, latest BIOS installed and still no luck. 5600MHz its not much hard hit, but i cannot use fully potencial of RAM.

My rig is :

CPU: i7 13700KF @ 5.5GHz all cores
Cooler : Endorfy Fera 5
ASUS Z790 Prime-P
Gainward RTX 4070 Ti Phoenix
4x32 GB Apacer 6400 MHz, CL32
M.2 2x Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB (2x)
Be quiet! PURE POWER 12 M 1000W

Everything works. My previous ram (32GB - 2x16KIT) works great from 5800 @ 6400MHz. But i a sold it, because of my needs i need more RAM then i expeced.

Thank you for your advice, tips.

Is this ram a 4 stick kit?

not a kit of 4, this could problematic
check if the timings are correct while using xmp
CL32
32-39-39-84
1,4Volt

are these 2r or 1r sticks? dual ranked or single ranked (have a look at CPU-Z)
2x32 GB (2x), but i ordered instead of one kit second one, G.Skill Ripjaws so i hope it will works.

Anyway i checked the timing and they are same.

Any new ideas about this?

I just have right now 4x G.Skill Trident Z memory. But i cant achieve stable core clock 6000 MHz. I almost alwaays getting BSOD. I tried many voltages despite to memory but without luck

I am somewhat surprised you are buying those devices. You seem to know about checking the compatibility on QVL lists and it seem you also know the issue about buying 2 kits with 2 sticks rather than a kit of 4.

It is very hard to get most machines to run with 4 sticks of memory espeically if you are going to overclock them...XML is overclocking.

Does the machine boot if you turn off the XMP and run them at 4800.

So checking the motherboard compatibility on asus I was actually surprised to find anything at all. They list
KF552C40BBK4-128 as working at 5400.

Unless you get extremely lucky you are not going to get 6000

Actually i am running at 5600MHz , not sure if iot goes higher right now, but memtest is ok with this settings no errors at all. N ot perfectly solved yet, but at least stable. What a shame there is no newer bios than now its 1402.

By the way, yeah i tried to set up, everything possible without XMP, but again without luck. Memory training is like 3 mins and then if its boots then it shows many errors in memtest and i cannot even boot to windows.

Well. I tried everything possible ( i guess?) and 5600MHz seems not stable at it was mistake to say at first try. Do you have any ideas what to do ? And whats safe for 24/7 ? Now i have SA 1.44, VDD 1.33, VDDQ 1.23, IMC 1.4460. Could this hangs do a high freqency of CPU?
