XMP not working?

hey guys,

So i just bought this G.Skill RipjawsX 2133mhz kit from amzon.

When i enable the XMP profile 1 my pc is just horribly slow, and i get unplayable frame's in games.
When i ramp it down to 1600mhz it works just fine.

Here is a screenshot of cpuz, maybe theirs a setting wrong?

Do you guys think this ram is broken and should i send it back to amazon?
The rest of the system is running at stock clocks

Did you check to see that the memory speed and timings were set correctly after enabling XMP, profile1? You probably have to OC the CPU some to be able to get the advertised memory speed.

The timings look OK. And according to CPUZ, the speed is correct too. 2 x 1066.5MHz = 2133MHz dual channel. What does it say in the SPD tab?

Set optimized defaults in BIOS then enable XMP Profile1.

Cool. That's what you probably were not doing. Whenever setting BIOS up, always start with optimized defaults then set up the rest depending on your system and memory, etc.
