Hi,

Just a query really, I've always wondered why whenever i set my XMP profile to run my Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3400Mhz at the correct speed, It will appear as 3401Mhz on XMP and overall sets the Target to 3403Mhz? From what i remember when I first built this PC, it used to say 3400Mhz and ive tried to reset the bios to see if it would go back but nothing. I've tried to update the BIOS and checked with CPU-Z as well and even that says the correct speed and timing.

Main reason why is due to it changing the baseclock, and when im trying to overclock the cpu at the same time its obviously changing the clock speed as well.
Any ideas?

This automatically happens when i set the XMP profile to run at the correct speed. Obviously I could change it back to 100 but the speed of the ram will be lower than 3400Mhz

It does? XMP doesn't change my BCLK and I'm running 16GB of GSkill TridentZ DDR4 3200 cas 14 with my 6700K. Gigabyte motherboard though.

Yeah its really strange, I'm pretty sure when i first set it up it never used to do that. The second profile that i have is for 3200Mhz and that comes up completely fine, doesn't change anything a part from Timings and Speed etc. Just seems to be that particular profile and the BIOS.
