Question XMP Settings not working :/

Trying to put together a PC for someone out of random stuff i have laying around. Anyways i found a 4790k some RAM and an old r7 265. I am using one of my old mining boards. An Asrock h81 PRO BTC r2.0. The first to sticks of RAM i put in didn't have an XMP on them so i pulled some G.Skill sticks form another PC. These have an XMP but when i select it (XMP 1.2 Profile 1: DDR3-1600 7-8-8-24 1.50v) and reboot i get DDR3-1400 (1:7). I am on the latest BIOS/UEFI. I reset to default and tried again.. nothing. Not sure whats going on. I've seen videos of this board running XMPs and DDR3 at 1600... Any ideas?

Are you sure you get 1400 and not 2800MHz? or F3-14900 ?
Check with CPU-Z in windows at the memoy tab
1600 would be 800 there, or 2800 ->1400

Did you plug the sticks into both DIMM slots tightly and locked the slot?

Reset the BIOS by jumper

Did you install the latest Beta BIOS 1.40?

Yea, im sure. CPU-Z says 699.6

Yes, i installed it properly. I just checked again.

Did not clear CMOS. EDIT: Tried.. No change.

Guess i could try the Beta BIOS. Not sure i wana tho hehe

I'm dumb. I still have the G1840 in and i bet that's the problem. I'll try the i7 later and im thinking that will work. DERP.
