Ok I am green as for hardware, even thou I am java dev 😉
Bought new CPU with some other stuff:

i7-8700k
Asrock Extreme 4
Corsair vengeance ddr4 CL15 3000MHz
Noctua NH-U12S
SilentiumPC Supremo FM2 750W Gold
bequiet! Silent Base 600

For a moment I have 2x SSD from old PC and 1x HDD
GF 970GTX MSI

Will change it for 1080TI or 2080. But in future.

Now I found out that my RAM was runnig at 2166 or so. Read somewhere about those XMP profiles, in my bios 1.8 (read that 3.1 sucks, so havent updated to that one) I've changed to XMP profile 2 (the only one I had)
I wont overclock my CPU at all. For sure not for max, maybe a little in future with a safe range without problem with temperatures.

But read some posts, that guy who had 3200 and used XMP suddenly found some problems, and the issue is 8700k works with 2600MHz max. Then found it is not true. So I can adjust it myself, right? Only changing speed.

And what about voltages? Those I cant understand at all, should I've be aware of them? Or this spec should work fine with this XMP profile 2?

And bonus question:
HWMonitor shows for CPU

Temp:
Min/Max
35*/61*

Clocks:
800/4401
800/4401
2000/4401
800/4401
4297/4401
800/4401

isnt it to much? I mean, should be at max 3.7? XMP profiles do boost CPU?

Solution
Just use the XMP profile. That is what the RAM is tested for at the factory. Just note that if your RAM is not on the QVL for your motherboard. It is not guaranteed to work at those speeds. This usually isn't a problem with Intel. If it is you'll either have to run at the JEDEC standard the RAM defaults at. In your case 2133 Mhz. Otherwise you'll have to fiddle with the timings, clock rate and possibly voltage to find your max stable RAM speed. You should only do that as a last resort if XMP is not stable. As it is more time consuming and takes some research so that you don't set voltage or timing too far off.

Nope, it is not. I havent know there are some kinds of memory this specific. Do I have to worry now? I am not sure if I am able to return this memory. Mine is CMK16GX4M2L3000C15, found that CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 this is compatible, but not L***. Always something new. I hope there wont be problems. How to find those tou? Some kind of freezes, lags when used in full capacity?

Do tell me please one more thing, are those clocs and temps ok for this CPU? I havent changed a thing in bios, except this XMP profile.
