Question Xmp with b450 aourus elite

hi , i have a problem with this motherboard when i try to enable the xmp and rebooting the pc again , when i enter the bios again it displays a message that bios reset
i using t-force ddr4 8gb ram rgb 3200 mhz with ryzen 5 2600
anyone have a solve ploease my ram is working on 2400 mhz

If you have the memory in slots 1/3 then try 2/4 and try AXMP again.

i have tried what did you say and it didn't work the pc can't booted untill i turn the power off a lot of times

If putting it into different slots and enabling XMP isn't working then it may require a BIOS update as that helps with memory compatibility.

i can't find any information about the memory on the internet , if i turn it back what memory do you recommend to get instead for this motherboard and in the same price range

Not everything that works is in the QVL, try updating the BIOS first and then enabling XMP before getting another kit.

I would get a proper 2x4gb kit, if all you can afford is 8gb. Ryzen needs dual channel, and faster ram, to get the most out of it. DDR4 3000 is acceptable, with your CPU, if budget is a problem, as well. I generally have good luck with Corsair LPX, and G-skill ripjaws.

I have the same board, had the same message I updated the bios now no longer get the message, when I did get the message I could not see any changes in bios after the resetting message.


Also the board only supports up to 3000mhz.

On its website they said it supports 3200mhz , what is your bios version mine is F30

F42a, checking the ram specs for the board says 3200 but with O. C. in brackets lower ram mhz don't have O. C beside not sure if this means anything.

Hi again i updated the bios now , could give me instructions to make ram at 3000mhz
