hi guys.

i would like to overclock my xp 2100+ to 2.1 Ghz real.
i think i can reach this frequency.

some opinions about ?

thanks.

buy THGC stock options, this could be a good investment. :)

Maybe, perhaps, who knows….. with watercooling.....

Go to <A HREF="http://www.overclockers.com" target="_new">http://www.overclockers.com</A> at the CPU database. There is only 1 guy that was able to go higher than 2000 MHz and he didn’t post the details.

think your pushing your luck buddy...

some of the recent cores people are able to get 1900mhz+, but 2100 is highly unlikely unless you invest in water, or cryogenic cooling.

I have seen a running Oc'ed Athlon T-bird, AXIA stepping. Was roughly 2700Mhz with quad watercooled peltier. Major FSB increase, hand picked DDR...settings were nuts.

Very interesting... just wondering…. was it a Tbird 1333 at 266 MHz FSB (532 MHz DDR)? That’s about 100% overclocking!!! 😱 Would be good if you have some more info such as mobo or perhaps a link.

maybe this <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/hardware/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=649371#649371" target="_new">cooling system</A> is sufficient?

<i>if <b>you know</b> <font color=white>you don't know<font color=black>, the way could be more easy ...

Agree. Home fans cool systems down very good but, at least for me, that’s only for “OC experiments” and not to be used everyday.
However there is another cooling system that takes the same idea (cool down the PC with outside case air which is at least 10º C lower than inside case air) but is of course less effective than home fans: air ducts.
You can setup them easily only using flexible air ducts to point air from the front fan to the CPU or drilling holes in the case just in front of the CPU and directing them with some PVC pipe.

There are a lot of reports (with pictures and drawings) about air ducts at <b><A HREF="http://www.overclockers.com" target="_new">http://www.overclockers.com</A></b>

well, hmm.., what do you think about <A HREF="http://www.vr-zone.com/guides/AMD/AthlonXP/" target="_new">this link</A> so?

not too bad... the last batch or so of XP's must be real sweet. u will notice the earlier ones could only get above 2ghz with big voltages and liquid nitrogen.

still out of the realms of aircooling though.
