Will XP allow me to upgrade my Motherboard with out the need to do a fresh install, if so, what's the best procedure.

I have XP Pro, and installed SP2 on my system.

Some peepel call it "Repeir install", some peepel call it "Re-install", some peepel call it "Fresh install", and if you will follow the words you'll see there is a word "install" everywhere, so you figure for yorself what you'll end up with.

..this is very useful and helpful place for information...

Just get the new motherboard installed and see if WinXP will boot. Chances are, it won't - you'll need to do a fresh install. It's worth a shot though.

Note that you should back up all your data before you try this.
