Xp and vista multiboot

hi i have a laptop with xp and vista but i cant boot vista. i had vista preinstalled but my dad wanted xp so i installed it but now vista just wont boot i know its there but it doesnt give a boot menu after the bios or nothing i am confused and they are on the same harddrive just in different partitons. thanks i would appreciate some help.
