Question XP can't read DVDRWs formatted in Windows 10

Hi,
I have a few old DVD-RWs which I've used for years on XP systems. They're also usable on my Windows 10 system, but discs formatted in Winsows 10 are unreadable on my old XP systems. I'd like to burn in a compatible format. I'd appreciate any suggestions... Thanks

Try to burn by using slower speed. Also try to use another burning software, it might not be the OS itself that is the problem.

While this is about XP and Win98 it discusses similar issues, like needing to close the CD-RW so it can be readable with other computers, or needing the same packet writing software you used to create a CD-RW on both computers, to view discs that have not been closed. https://forums.techguy.org/threads/formatting-a-cd-rw-in-xp-to-run-on-windows-98-computer.420954/ particularly the last three posts.

You could try this:

1. Introduce those discs into another PC or a laptop that runs on Win10.

2. Copy one of those discs using Nero burning rom.

3. Try the disc into your XP machine.
If it works, copy the rest of the discs.

But I think that switching to Win10 would be a better idea.
