XP drivers on mobo that doesn't support XP

Hello, i wanted dual boot win 7 with xp. I installed xp on machine, but my mobo doesn't have xp support.

PC specs:

mobo: Gigabyte ultra durable z170-hd3p
cpu: intel core i5 3.2 6500
ram: 16gb

sata mode: raid(i have there ahci and raid and ahci just doesn't work for xp)

I installed network and audio driver from older gigabyte mobo, but i dont know which mobo now, and the two drivers are working very good, but other drivers wont install and i can't force them through device manager. I have them all on cd, because usb driver is not working.

How can I force them to install or maybe install windows 7 drivers on xp? Or anything that would make my xp work.

Short answer.... You don't.

Longer answer, that motherboard does not support Windows XP, which is well beyond its expiration date. If you really want XP (bad idea in my opinion) then you need to locate an old XP compatible system upon which to run it, and then never connect it to the internet or other network.

why never connect to internet? I am connected to internet through xp and writing this in xp and nothing hapenned yet.

The keyword is "yet". XP, having NO further updates is evermore vulnerable to exploits and viruses. But, it's your machine, do with it as you wish.

aha, i thought you are talking about some "things" from microsoft
anyway i don't want to use xp to browse internet, but to play older games that wont run on newer os than xp and i dont want to use virtual machine, because cursor in the games is glitchy and too fast even if i set mouse speed to lowest both in pc and virtual pc.

Is there really no solution to drivers? I saw win98 on intel core i7 machine and with minecraft on cca 60 fps. Is it fake, or with win98 it's simplier? No i don't want 98 on pc 😀

Maybe try to find some Vista drivers.

i tried from three older motherboards from gigabyte, because mine has only 7,8,8.1,10 support and none worked. usb drivers was not able to work after install and xp usb driver from that motherboard i downloaded audio and internet drivers for are working, and intel ones would probably work if the installer would install the drivers. I just get a message that my computer doesn't meet minimum requirements even the vista ones.

Anyway graphics driver would be enough for me to use xp as os for older games, but even the amd driver which HAS xp support will crash.

Have you contacted GigaByte? If not, ask them if they have "unsuported" XP drivers for your mobo.

You need to determine the chipset, LAN chip, video chips, etc that GigaByte used. "SOME" chip vendors have drivers that the will provide to the end users, some will not. XP *should* install with a lot of yellow exclamations when you pull up Device Manager. Post a list of devices that need drivers.
