Hi...When I try to install XP from my CD, the install stops and freezes. Only a hard reboot can interrupt the process at that point. Could this possibly be a hardware problem since I am unable to install XP? Mobo, memory, or...??? Thanks.

Sounds like a hardware problem, since even if you didn't have the motherboard bio's setup correctly it should give you an error (even if it is an error leading you to the wrong conclusion).
So, start the machine without the XP disk in it and tell us what prompts the machine gives you!

where does it freeze at on the install? I had a problem with a visiontek 4200 TI. when it tried to boot up the windows install after it installed all the files from the disk it would freeze so I put my old 3dfx voodoo 3 and it went through just fine

Would suspect hard drive first, then memory. This same thing just happened to me last week on a customer's machine. Turned out the hard drive was bad.
