My Intel motherboard failed, and I replaced it with a Gigabyte AMD motherboard. It powers up just fine but XP will not load. Tried reinstalling xp, seamed to work fine, but still no boot. I am trying not to loose all the pictures on the computer. Any suggestions how I can get xp to see the new hardware?

You may have a bit of a problem - reinstalling XP wipes the drive. I would strongly recommend that you take the drive out, attach it to a machine that is known to work, and see what you can recover from the drive. If the files are still there, excellent. If not, we can try recovery software to find whatever hasn't been overwritten by your OS install.

I can't boot to windows. I get the xp screen, the a blue screen with text on it, but the computer reboots before I can read it.I tried repairing it from the xp cd, no luck, same results.
