xp password question

I am having a old problem I had years ago, I have windows sit up to ask for a pass word, but instead of it being open so all I have to do is type te pass word in, I now have to click on it to open the place to type I know it is a minor register fix but its been to many years any one know how to fix this?

No, its when you first turn on your computer and have to log in it use to show where you type in the password automatically But now I have to click on it I know its a registry adjustment.
