Or computer bad. Or cable is bad or loose. To find out, test the monitor using a known good computer and/or another monitor with yours.

also you can take a peek in the computer. If any of the capacitors (small, cylinders) on the motherboard are bloated ( not a flat top, or aren't sitting perpendicular to the board) or exploded (cracked top, no top, or worse, a burn mark) that could also be the problem. But check the monitor cable first.
Any beeps coming from the PC?
