my HP windows XP has a virus. I can operate it in Safe Mode. Can I transfer my pictures videos and doc to an external drive? B
 
Solution
connect your USB drive befor you turn on your computer.
Boot into Safe Mode with networking.
You should be able to transfer you files to the USB drive. Be aware that you might also be transferring the Virus to the USB drive.
download RKill, TDSSKiller, and run them in that orser.
then run the online virus scan http://quickscan.bitdefender.com/

Move you files into any external hard disk and then boot your computer in Safe Mode with any network administrator.
Download antivirus and run at administrator and then check your problem will be resolved...
