XP stuck at \Windows\System32\drivers\aswbidsha.sys, an avast file

My computer is getting stuck at this point during start up "\Windows\System32\drivers\aswbidsha.sys " I can't boot into safe mode, and last known good doesn't work either. I think this has something to do with Avast anti-virus software, from I have read. Any suggestions? .
