Trying to upgrade to 10 from XP using seagate disk wizard to clone the old drive to a new ssd. After installing 10 on the drive and cloning the new drive reverts back to XP. Do I need to delete the XP from the cloning? if so, how?

Solution
when you clone xp to the the drive with 10 you are overwriting 10 and putting xp back on.
There is no upgrade from xp to 10 so install 10 and then install all your 10-compatible drivers & software. Don't be surprised if some of your software or hardware is not compatible.

You might want to run the win8 compatibility tool and if you are compatible then win10 should be also.
