HI
I have a Asus A7N8X-X motherboard, with XP2200+ and 1 gb PC2700
DDR-ram, and I can't raise the FSB! I can easisy raise the
the multiplyer, and gain af few extra mhz, but if i set the fsb to 134 mhz
(133 is standard), the system won't start up, and i have to reset the bios.
I think that something might be locked, but i can't figure out what...

Somebody help....

Try other memory, and then try another video card.
Why I say this is, I have the plain model "A7N8X" board.
And well, look.. http://home.comcast.net/~dstrausser33/
It's not your CPU holding you back, something else is causing
an instability. You should be able to go up over 2 GHz
with a 2200+ on air + with little extra on your vcore.
My memory = 2x256=512 / Kingmax Same speed.. (PC2700)
I had the memory running (DDR440) in my P4 I was able to go over that
but not by a lot, that's why I'm using it in my AMD..
Video = I have a MSI Geforce 5200
Sound = Creative Labs Audigy 2 Nice..
HD Maxtor 160GB
I'm not sitting at my AMD, I don't even have to give it much a
thought anymore what I have in it either.
PSU = 400W
Give some more info please.

Denny. ;-) 🙂
