I use an Asus A7N8X v2.0 MB, BIOS version 1007. Processor is an AMD
XP2500 Mobile CPU overclocked at 180FSB, 12.5x CPU (2250MHz). The
system is stable at those BIOS settings, along with Aggressive memory
timings and VCore at 1.65volts.
I have a question about the BIOS Advanced Chipset Features, CPU
Frequency Multiplier. The list of available multipliers starts at
13.0x, 13.5x, 14.0x then drops to 6.5x and climbs back up to 12.5x as
the last possible choice on that BIOS screen. 12.5x is stable but if I
try going up to 13.0x the system assumes the processor is only
800MHz??? Why?
I also cannot get above 180FSB without instability. Anyone out there
have other better achievements overclocking the XP2500mobile with the
A7N8X??
