i hope someone here can help

Memory Interface: 128 bit
Core Clock: 450 MHz
Memory Clock:1000MHz

when i load the software that comes with the card it tells me that the core is 450 and the memory is 500, 3dmark 06 tells me the same

can anyone tell me why on there web site and on the box its says its 1000mhz but there software that comes with the card tells me its 500
