Question XPG Starker PC case - - - how should I connect the front panel argb light strips ?

Hi I Recently i built a new pc with the XPG Starker pc case. The front panel has two built-in argb light strips that for now i have connectd through my sata power and 3 pin argb connector to case led controller. Can i connect the 3 pin argb connector to my mobo 3 pin argb header ? Does it need sata power also from psu? Because i tried to connect it with mobo without sata power and it didn't work.

My motherboard is Asus TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI. Plz advice.
