[SOLVED] xpg sx6000 pro m.2 runs hot

help!!! my xpg sx6000 pro m.2 pcie ssd drive runs hot, I heard that's just the way they run. is that correct? or a bunch of b.s.? I have it installed in my Lenovo legion y520 gaming laptop.

at idle its at 48c, under a load it gets up to 78c

35-40°C is usually normal for idle , around 70°C would be considered warm. 78°C is a little hot.

yes it is hot. everyone I have talked to says they all run that hot. I even installed the heatsink on it. I havnt seen much throttling yet either.

also the games I have installed on that drive seem to run well.

I bet they do , I don't use HDD's anymore. Only SSD's.

With the confined space they will run a little warmer in a laptop.

I just got through playing battlefield 5 for a little while, then checked the m.2 temp, it was at 80c lol oh well ill just run it as is and if it throttles then it throttles. what do you think?

That's about all you can do in a laptop. Just monitor it.
