XPS 410 - SATA III Add-in Card

Specs:
Motherboard: XPS 410
Processor: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX6800 @2.9 GHz
Graphics: PNY Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Memory: 8GB (4x2GB) Samsung DDR2 @800 MHz
Storage [SSD]: Kingston A400 120GB
Storage [HDD]: Western Digital Blue 320GB
Power: 350W XPS 410

So the motherboard only comes with SATA II slots, which is fine for the HDD, but leaves much to be desired for the SSD. The SSD is running much slower than it would on a SATA III slot, but is still much faster than the HDD. My question, do you think the XPS would be able to boot from an add-in card, and if so, which one do you think I should choose? Most of them run under $20, so I don't mind upgrading to it.

Thanks in advance.

I guess my memory failed me, more of a difference than I thought. Still, take a look at the "real world" benchmark results in that article. Or the Access Time, 4K Random (low queue depth), and I/O (workstation) results, which should all be relevant to typical home PC use.

Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure that the 250 GB 840 Pro is a fair bit faster than your SSD, exaggerating any differences in results.
