My cpu is AMD Phenom II x6 1055t and my psu is 460w. Will it be a wise decision to use the 960 with this old of a machine (2010). I am interested in playing The Withcer III.

Solution
If you want to run DDU, simply run it from Windows. It will direct you to re-boot and should start up in safe mode to finish the job... if Dell didn't corrupt that too with their proprietary BIOS.
I am not able to uninstall the AMD drivers using the Catalyst Control uninstall option. I get BSoD. Now what? Is there a way to unistall those pesky AMD drivers?

That's odd. The good news is that Windows Update will install the driver eventually if you can't get the ones on the disk to install.
But try this...
Run CCleaner and have it do the Clean and Registry portions both: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER
The run DDU from safe mode: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/550192/geforce-drivers/display-driver-uninstaller-ddu-v12-9-3-4-released-06-09-14-/
Have it remove any AMD and Nvidia drivers and driver remnants it finds. Reboot and try to install the latest driver for your card and OS from the Website: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

Hi, and thank you for all your help so far, I haven't gotten very far on uninstalling the AMD drivers yet because am having a bit of trouble figuring out how to run DDU from safe mode. In the meanwhile, I found on the Amd driver page an update to the card I have which is a hd 5770, a new driver download to help with framerates in the withcher III so I downloaded that lol. It increase my fr from 15 to 20. I still want to install my GTX 960 but it costs so much that I want to be verrrry careful not to screw it up. I want to eventually build a new pc.

Got it running! Thanks for your help. I had to install the drivers from the website in safe mode but everything seems to be working fine now.

Good to hear. Proprietary machines like your Dell always seem to have some kind of glitch that makes them challenging.
