I want to move everything from my dell XPS 8700 into a new case: NZXT H500, therefore i just wanted to know if I can basically take everything out my computer and put it in this new case (H500). If I did get the case will it work and what would I have to do if it didn't work.

in theory it should work fine. but dell uses a lot of non-standard pieces in their pc's that may make this not possible. normally the biggest problem is with the front port i/o panel.

you'll need to open the case and check to see how it is all connected. often they use a special panel for the front ports rather than the headers normally seen on the motherboard. which means your new case front panel will have to connect to this special board instead of to mobo headers. if this is the case, then you'll have to find the pin out for the board so you can connect it and then mount it somewhere so it can be used.

may not be this way, but i have seen it often with dell pc's along with other odd connections. but to be sure, you'll have to open it up and have a look. if you know enough to move it all over, then you should know enough to know standard connections vs proprietary ones easy enough.
