Review xTool D1 Pro 20 W Review: Premium Laser for Entrepreneurs

After looking at the insulated cup, I'm doubtful this would fit my needs for precision-cutting small batches of sheet aluminum.

Can this at least cut 'soda cans'?

edit:
Interesting... From the review, I got the implication/impression this is for cutting and engraving. From the product's own website it's made prominent, that the xTool D1 DPro 20W, is primarily an engraver.

MORE MATERIALS, MORE CREATIONS

Produce a variety of projects out of a variety of materials thanks to the xTool D1 Pro's compatibility with engraving and cutting a wide catalog of materials.

  • Engraving & Cutting Compatibility: Wood, bamboo, cloth, cork, plastic, and more

  • Recommendation: 20W is ideal to achieve the best results from more materials
I'm 'getting mixed-signals'; reminds me of how a company will over-sell a product, but later 'fall-back' on their marketing language to protect themselves from claims of false-advertising.

TBF to xTool, many seemingly-insignificant details can impact the actual ability of a laser cutter.
Ex. some 'wood' may be more thermally-conductive or moisture-laden than others samples of the same species.

While this one may or may not be suitable for your sheet alu/soda can thisckness, cutting 10mm of wood is not insignificant.
Very fair.
Still, Marketing culture has left me a little 'gun shy' (and implicitly skeptical) of boisterousness in advertised-ability.

For <$1500, this doesn't seem like too-heavy an investment for someone to 'recoup' in production and sales.
Also, it seems like the D1 pro 20W could be worthwhile, even if you just wanted to 'make curios for friends and family'.
