Okay so my brother recently bought a cheap decent PC off craigslist. It has:
8GB DDR2
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5GHZ
Radeon HD 6870 (i think)
Well his old SHIT PC had and an intel core 2 quad Q6700. I installed it for him, and now his PC get's an error at boot up "1801 - Microcode out of date blah blah please contact Microsoft blah blah blah." You can then press F1 to boot up and everything appears to work fine.
WHAT DO I DO? Put the old SHIT CPU back or leave it be and make him press F1 at startup ? I've already updated the BIOS and done all kinds of BS like this. Nothing has worked and it appears HP has no interested in fixing this issue. They claim they have "Discontinued supporting XW4400 workstation PC's."
Best Regards
