XW8400 SSD problem

Solution
Shouldn't be any reason it won't work. You have a total of 6 SATA ports, 4 SAS ports, and five hard drive bays. It is SATA 1 so you'll only see 1.5Gbps transfer speeds.

Even if the model is somehow SAS only, SAS will see and use SATA drives by default.

Solution
sorry, im not sure why it got cut off. I purchased a Samsung 850 EVO and changed the settings in the BIOS to AHCI. It won't boot and when I changed it back to the hard drive that was already in it, the ssd was not recognized under This PC. I read a post saying that it wasn't compatible but that was after I had bought it.
