[SOLVED] Y PCIe Splitter Cable

So I have an RTX 3070 and it needs 2 x 8 pins to power it. I was just wondering if it would be better to use 2 single 8 pin to 8 pin pcie cables or 2 y splitter cables that my psu comes with. Also, is it safe to leave one side of the split end unplugged and one side plugged into the gpu. Thanks.

It is technically preferable to use individual cables, but if your PSU is of sufficient quality using a daisy chained cable is acceptable as well, this mostly comes down to the wire gauge.
It is also fine to leave a connector hanging.
