The mouse just stops moving for an instant when I press a key moves about an inch across the screen and stops about an inch away and never moves again. I know it is detecting my fingers on it because the little mouse pad icon on the bottom right shows one blue dot when I try to move it and two when i put a second finger on it. I think it might be a setting or even just a design flaw with the laptop. any help would be appreciated.

Tried:
-restarting
-installing new driver from lenovo
-other keys
-clicking key and lifting finger off pad and trying again
-continuously using pad while key pressed

Sorry I should have said the mouse works fine until I press a key. I also looked though the settings in windows 10 and found a setting called touchpad and it said something about a delay i just tried setting that to no delay (always on) and long delay to no avail. I looked through the settings from win 10 more advanced and from alp v8.201.1611.251. none had any settings I could change to fix it I think. I dont know what it could be. weirdly enough alt shift windows key and fn does not cause the mouse to stop. Thanks for the help I really appreciate.
