Yahoo messenger problem

Hello i have a problem. I'm currently using Windows XP and I had Yahoo messenger downloaded. Suddenly yesterday Yahoo messenger would not sign it due to all of these errors apparently so i uninstalled it. I found an older version on another site and it worked perfectly yesterday and then i turn on my computer today and even THIS version won't sign in. I've tried all the yahoo messenger troubleshoot directions, checked firewall, checked antivirus programs, checked proxy settings, checked Internet settings and still NOTHING solved. Does anyone know what the problem is? because i don't get it every other program on my computer works perfectly that needs a internet connection but for some reason Yahoo messenger since yesterday refuses to sign in and it appears it doesn't matter what version it is since its happened with ALL versions. Please if ANYONE can help me with this I would be more than overjoyed.
