So I’ll be honest, not hoping for a miracle on this one, I got a Yamaha RX-V673, 7.2 Surround Sound receiver. I plugged it in and it worked fine. So today, my dad and me hooked it all up with some speakers we got at the Thrift Store (later on we found that one speaker was dead) and when I turned it on the shut off after a second and locked into protect mode, when I hold Info + Tone button I can get into diagnostic info and it doesn’t turn off, when I do that I get DC PRT :225 H. I have tried to factory reset but I cannot get the advanced setting to stay on, one thing I will be trying is leaving the receiver off until my next day off, which is Monday.

So my question(s) is/are,
1-can I save this?
2-How can I save this?

Looks like a capacitor inside is bad or leaking. Best take it to a radio repair shop. Shouldn't cost much to get it fixed.
So let me tell you about that, they only place that can/could work on a Yamaha is Bjorn's... there is like only one is San Antonio, they guy looked at it and said that it is the Amplifier Channel and it would cost $260 to repair, $260 for a 7 year old-ish tech, but god musta been like, here's a bone, I found an old, working, Sony de885, it works fine, not as good as the Yamaha, that had 7.2 with HDMI and the Sony is a 5.2 with AV

but it works fine and my dad likes it, but I plan on getting my hands a new one around x-mas time hell Best Buy had one for $400.
