I've read catleap screens are the bomb. IMO I would get that - great reviews as well (first one).

the only thing that I don't like about it is that it looks awfully similar to the old monoprice stands (terrible) & DVI port is on bottom (old batch) but i guess I could always mount it.

still not sure though. I haven't found anybody/place that reviews them extensively.

You don't need it right away do you? If not, keep looking around, there's usually deals, and good reviews of screens to be found.

The only issue I keep running into is that the non-major (OCable) moniters seem to have little or conflicting reviews/specs.

They should both be the same monitor, unless I can't read, but the amazon link says that the color reproduction is 1.07 Billion while the other site says that the color reproduction is 16.7 Million. Either I don't understand how they get their information, or its not really a 10Bit panel.


I know most 2560x1440p monitors can be found for as little as $299.99 USD--entry level anyways...
