Yellow tint in corners of display

Hello, requesting assistance with my new monitor. I've just bought the Samsung D390HL and, upon running it for a few hours, noticed a distinct yellow tint in the upper left and right corners of the display. Its like a yellow shadow, fading a couple centimetres in towards the center of the monitor, but more and more distinct towards the corners - particularly visible when the screen is darker (though of course, not when its off).

I have two speakers on either side of the monitor, but turning them off and moving them away did not render improvement within 10 minutes. I also have a TV about 7 or 8 cm from the Samsung monitor, which I use as a second display - but the yellow tint is unquestionably there in both the right and left corners. I tried turning them both off and moving them away, and didn't notice a particular improvement.

Here's my system, newly set up, running on Windows 8.1.

Case: Raijintek Agos Midi Tower - Black
PSU: Seasonic SS-550G, 550W

What I'm wondering is whether this can be fixed somehow, or is known to go away in time? I'm hoping to find out whether its a defect, and whether I should contact the store to try and exchange it with another model? (I'm not in the US, so refunds are not an option, even exchanges are difficult.)

This monitor has a PLS panel, which is very similar to IPS.
When viewed from anywhere but dead centre, they glow. This is called IPS glow.
Because you look at the centre of the screen directly, this is usually more evident in the corners.
You can tell if this is what you are seeing by moving further back, or moving so you are looking at the screen corner perpendicular to the monitor screen.
If the glow faeds, this is IPS glow. It is a normal feature of IPS monitors. Some models are worse than other, but it is not considered a defect.
Replacing the screen with the same model would make no difference.

The second possibility is back-light bleed. If you do the same tests as above, this won't fade at all. The light from the back-light leaks into the image. This is considered a defect and can be replaced under warranty.
