Ok now i got this new monitor samsung 753s black. I've been noticing some waves very faint coming from the right side of the screen. It's kinda like one would draw rays coming out from the sun ..only circular. is that supposed to happen? My Refresh rate is 85Hz. Will a screen capture capture is so i can show you guys that? Sorry i cant really describe it well but plz help me. Ask anything i left oout.

From the description I'm guessing those are "Moire" lines... basically a problem of pixel placement not quite matching the phosphor triads on the screen causing uneven brightness.

In this order:
Try adjusting your vertical and horizontal sizing just a tad.
Try tweaking the pincuision setting a little.
Try reducing your refresh rate 1 step.
Try reducing the resolution 1 step.

Then if it's still there:
If your monitor has moire cancellation in it's menus try tinkering with that.

The reason I don't suggest you go to the Moire right away is that moire cancelling messes with the focus a bit... You will get rid of the lines but at the expense of sharpness.

BTW... It's unlikely a screen capture (which just reads video memory) would show it to us...

Yep From your description they look like moire lines. I tried everything you said step by step. Horizontal resizing doesnt help Vertical resizing does but then my picture is only 60% of the monitor screen size.
Pincushion doesnt help. I reduced the refresh rate to 75 hertz It helps but Doesn eliminate the moire lines. Now i see them as static lines instead of the flowing ones before.
I can'nt reduce my resolution As i'm already on 800*600
Moire cancellation : Horizontal moire is set to zero. Tinkering with it doesnt help and Vertical moire change does help but i've been unable to remove it completely. So Now what do i do. Do i have to live with it? And oh how does the pixel placemnt prob occur. Is it a prob of the Monitor or the videocard signal. Thanks

Ok... I just looked up the info on your monitor. It says the optimal resolution is 1024x768 ... most likely this is the closest match to the CRT's dot pitch. Best I can offer is give that a try at differing refresh rates, tinkering with the settings as I suggested and see what you get.

Also try setting your "Brightness" or "Black level" so you get true black on your screen... open a DOS window and press ALT-ENTER to make it full screen... Adjust the black level up till you just see a slight haze on a black background then turn it back down till it just disappears. Hit ALT-ENTER again and set your Contrast to give you a soft but adequately bright display.

This of course won't eliminate moire lines... but it will make them considerably less annoying.

On some monitors you won't completely eliminate moire lines.

Oh BTW I did a reset on my monitor and did that tinkering again. It's fine now No Moire Lines. Turns out that i was focusing so much on the lines that i started seeing moire lines everywhere LOL even on the Walls. So i had someone else do the looking for me. Thanks BTW
