Hello everyone,
Recently my second CORSAIR HX 850i blew up after a power outage and I have to RMA again since I'm still under warranty. But I had enough with corsair so I will sell this one and go for a different brand. I'm thinking Seasonic but my issue is the watt capacity. I used the PSU calculators out there but what confuses me is that they show that I need 550w but suggest a 750w! That makes no sense so I thought I'd ask you guys for your opinions. Here is my build:
I7-5820k
Msi x99a plus
2x8gb ddr4
Gtx 1080
3xSata 7.2krpm
2xSsd
2x140 and 2x120 fans
1xDvdrw
Typical mouse keyboard
So for the above what would you guys suggest? I thought the seasonic focus plus 650w platinum looks like a good call and it has stellar reviews especially for working under the fear of power outages.
