Yes, another pre-built gaming PC question

Long story short, I don't have the time energy or desire to build my own gaming PC. My computer is going on 3 years old and is really struggling with current shooters and modern games.

I'm looking at a "good" rig around the $400-700 range. Now, I'm fully aware I will never get the most bang for my buck buying pre-built systems, but as mentioned earlier, I just don't have the time.

If anyone can point me in the direction of a good and reputable website that'd be fantastic. I'm not opposed to having someone build me a system, for a fee of course, but you would have to ship it if you aren't local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

What are the specs of your current PC? For the price range, your options are going to be limited.

Intel Core i7 920 2.67Ghz 9gb of ram. GTX 660.

It's a very old system.

It can run most things, but not very well.

I just replaced my i7-950 rig weeks ago. It didn't bottleneck a GTX 1060 6GB. You could get a little more life out of your PC until you can afford a legitimate upgrade.

I would seriously upgrade your GPU before throwing money at some shoddy low-end prebuilt "gaming" pc.

Why do some people change their own oil and why do some people just go get it done.

It's a matter of preference at the time of purchase.

I usually build my own PC's and the PC's of my family.

I happened to be in Microcenter a few years ago and stumbled upon a sale for a Dell i5 which was significantly lower than anything I could have put together especially factoring in the OS. It was perfect for my mom.
