Yesterday the sound in my Firefox (45,0,1) was fine. This morning it doesn't work' Skype & Windows 'sounds' are still fine,

I'm neither young nor PC savvy!
Last night my Firefox (45.0.1) sound was working - this morning it is not working

On right clicking my Realtec icon it shows as working correctly. Other sound programs,- Skype & 'Windows Sounds' are working correctly. I'm running Windows 8.1

Please can someone advise me what I need to do to rectify this problem

Thanks - problem now resolved. As a rescue facility I've made a Restore Point!

However - now I have to use F10 (every time) to re-display Menu Bar; before updating Firefox it was so reliable.

Try right clicking in the upper part of the screen, just above the address bar and click on menu bar to enable
