News YMTC Delivers China's First Domestic SSDs

Self-sufficiency doesn't just happen overnight, but Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd. (YMTC) is pushing China in the right direction.

They are just doing what Mao said decades ago.

By cutting out China from access to US technologies, all Trump did was empower China to become self reliant.
The alternative for the other countries would be to let the CCP keep stealing their intellectual property and grow even stronger.

I agree to an extant, but China is quite capable of doing thier own homework. Take the mobile space. Thier phones are better than what samsung and Apple has to offer, whom did they steal that from? Take a simple robot vaccum cleaner, no competition, production costs? no competition (though india might come up). There are many examples where China does it better. And coming to stealing, everyone steals, so did steve jobs.

So eventually, they will build up thier own, which, I agree takes time, few years to a decade. While other countries will be reliant on each other. And what happens to US when China starts selling all the tech at cheap price?

Oh BTW, companies like FB, Google, M$ steal a lot of our data already.
