Your connection is not private Error On Fresh Windows Instal.

I recently installed a new build of Windows 7 Home Premium (The same I have used on this PC the past near decade) and upon trying to access many regularly frequented websites I use for gaming (Discord, Uplay, Steam) I keep getting the Google Chrome "Your connection is not private" error follower with NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID.

I have tried nearly every single fix I could Find on Google including resetting my PC's date / time, clearing the entire browsing history / cookies / cache on Chrome. I have tried manually configuring DNS settings to Google's own DNS. I have flashed my motherboard BIOS to defaults, reinstalled Windows on multiple fresh formatted HDDs and SSDs, tried using Internet Explorer, tried using incognito mode. I even drove about an hour out of town to replace my modem through Comcast to yet no avail.

I am at my wits end and afraid that I have lost my access to the internet completely and cannot figure out why, any help would be very appreciated!!!

-That could be caused by your antivirus blocking SSL certificates or internet connections. I have seen Avast and Bitdefender causing that issue. Check your antivirus settings and turn off the https scan feature.
-You could just click the Advanced link then on Proceed to.......(unsafe) link on that message page to continue to the site you wanted to visit. Just make sure is a safe site.

I am not currently running any virus software as this is a new build of Windows. I don't even get the "Proceed to" message on half the websites either.

Did you allow Windows to install all available updates?
You could disable the error
Right-click on the Google Chrome shortcut on the Desktop and select Properties.
Select the Shortcut tab.
On the Target area add this –ignore-certificate-errors to text on that space.
There would be no more error messages.

I've used this same build of Windows on this computer many different times without needing to update and had perfect function of Google Chrome and all other browsers. I am attempting to update right now and will reply back when it is finished. The -ignore... command line doesn't work either, it just doesn't even attempt to load these sites when I use it.

You need to leave a space then enter the tag –ignore-certificate-errors
Google Chrome has been updating with new features like the Not secure you see before the web address when you are on this and other HTTP websites but you won't see that on HTTPS sites.

That's how i had it entered, Chrome won't even open from the link if you fail to add the space. It still didn't work. The same problems persist in all other browsers as well so it's definitely a deeper issue than Chrome.

I've the exact same problem since three days ago, I've installed both Windows XP SP3 and Windows 7 dozens (more than 15 times), Formatted my HDD, Used another Internet connection. I've no clue.

I even can't get my license Activated for both systems.

I tried to re-install Windows XP SP1 on a old laptop and it activated, so it looks like the servers are still up.
But, before activating I had to install these updates below, plus hundreds others thru Windows update. Also installed drivers of course.
I could not access the web or activate, until after installing Internet Explorer 8.

Google discontinue support for Chrome on Windows XP. I install an old version and it does not update and there are many websites that do not load.

Windows 7 works just fine after installing all updates.
Try a different installation media and make sure you install all updates.

It turns out Windows Update was failing to correctly install the service packs and security updates because of a poor internet connection and I wasn't getting the correct Root Certificates updated as a result. Monitored it closely to make sure it wasn't disconnecting during the whole installation and it finally worked after like 10 tries. Thanks again for all the input I'm all good to go now!
