Recently got a Logitech Quickcam Orbit webcam to use with MSN Messenger or
Yahoo! Messenger. Also thinking of using this webcam to monitor an area in
or around my house, uploading pics periodically to a website. For this
monitoring/uploading purpose, which webcam software application do you
recommend? I haven't tried any but heard WebcamXP Pro (Version 1.07?) or
Willing Webcam (Version 1.6) is quite good?

Thanks,
James

You might give the free, unlimited Basic version of
HomeSentinel a try, at http://bobday.vze.com.

http://www.homewatcher.com is what I use. You can edit the HTML template if
you'd like, like I did for my own web site, and you can have it set to
upload time-lapse video of all of the images if you'd like. You can also
just have the files stored locally, if you don't want it all uploaded to a
web site somewhere. Very configurable, and free if you only want the basic
version.

Check out http://home.columbus.rr.com/rubbertoe/webcam/index.html for an
example page. (I also use the free version of WebcamXP when I want "live
video" for my viewers)

Hello,

You also can take a look at trackercam. (www.trackercam.com IIRC)
It suites me fine, and is pretty stable. (and free)
