I installed windows 10 over the internet when they were doing it for free, so only have a windows 7 disk which doesn't help.

It seems like none of my usb ports are working which may be part of the problem but I'm not sure what to do.

I checked, and it seems that you need the installation disk to repair windows when that happens

UPDATE: I've just disconnected my cd/DVD player and it runs fine... I've tried with another one but have the same problem?
