Your tax dollars at work

How are my tax dollars at work? A tweet? UL is Underwriters Laboratory, an independent company that marks products that meet their standards. Are you really posting blog garbage over a single tweet that links to a company video?

What are you trying to get across that I am supposed to take away from this concerning my tax dollars?

What I did get out of it; cooking turkey's in a deep fryer is dangerous and comes with hazards. I got that message from a tweet that looks to have taken less time than it did to write up this response.

Micro-managing productivity of the DHS a little much?

Well, let's see if I can explain it a little better.

If you are not one of the 53% of U. S. citizens who pay Federal income taxes, maybe your tax dollars are not at work.

If you are one of the 53% of U. S. citizens who pay Federal income taxes, your tax dollars are being wasted. But that is not really unusual. A lot of tax dollars are always being wasted.

That tweet was from DHS.gov. DHS was formed as a response to the Islamic terrorism that occurred on Sept. 11, 2011. Remember?

Just checking in case you forgot. :)

That's a "Well, Duh!" Anyone with any sense knows this. But my question to is, "Because this seems a little far from the original DHS mandate, what does it have to do with terrorism?"

Not me, DHS did a great job without my help.

 @ all the 53% crap... Yeah I'm in that 53% too, giving 25% of my paycheck, and you just sound hilarious making fun of a tweet from the government about Thanksgiving, that's all.

Carry on.

Two turkeys were pardoned today, we should have put those turkeys to work!

I had to do some research to understand the issue here ... sadly.

1. Why would anyone want to eat turkey? The stuff is flaming stringy and dry, and tastes horrible?

2. I think we call that cooker a "Weber BBQ". Mine is gas powered ... hint hint.

3. Anyone who would cook on a timber deck should also consider operating a toaster while in the spa, or running electric extension leads across their pool using floaties to keep the lead above water ... while bathing. The end result is about the same statistically ... thus making them Darwin Award candidates.

Nice !!

Hey, something else we agree on, must be a full moon or something! 😛

So is roast turkey if you know what you are doing.

Two reasons why a roast turkey comes out dry and stringy:
1. People tend to cook it too long at too high of a temperature, and
2. Self basting turkeys really aren't.

And smoked turkey is pretty good also. It just takes a lot longer.

What I dont truly understand is, like a household, when moneys short, you cut back the spending, and for some reason, this is barely on google...
Doesnt that make everyone wonder even more, or at least is even more amazing?

To ignore/hush/deny/hold off .... whatever, the most logical thing to do, which doesnt effect the economy.
This is what amazes me.
Cutting spending means when things get better, theyll get much better quicker, but I guess its more an emotional thing than a logical one
