hello,

I want to buy my sister a new computer, but I don't have enough money for Pentiums.

I was wondering what your experiences are with Celerons; things you wished you could do with Celerons, etc.

The thing is all my sister needs is internet and mp3s :)

How is Celeron on playing videos?

Consider buying a cheap kit, Tigerdirect had an Abit IS7-V2 with Celeron 2.93 for $80. AMD Semprons are generally a better deal when you can't get a bargain combo.

celerons are dirt cheap product.

i don't recommend them for anytthing other than a simple budget computer rhat does the most basic of tasks.

will it play movies? yaaaa, should play them fine though.

Hell, a VIA chip can play videos. A P3 can play videos. And my ancient Pentium 133 could play MP3s, surf the internet, and run MS Word. :O If you just need an internet terminal and media player, just about any processor will do.
