Hello everyone Youtube is draining all my battery very quickly what i can do about that? my phone's model is Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 Android 8.0 (i updated it yesterday to 8.0) in the Device Maintenance i clicked "Battery" and then "Battery Usage" i see Youtube first with 15% usage only used it for 30m. It drained 646 mAh battery but if i use it for too long the % will higher about 45% and that would be not normal. Second is the "Screen" only 8% and is says "Used for 2 h 42 m" compared to Youtube only 30m. Youtube drains the battery because of the quality of the video e.g 1080p60fps. What can i do? is there any way to fix that?

Thank you

You are not really understanding what you are looking at and misinterpreting it as an issue...

Yea but the quality will be shit i like videos with high quality but ill see what i can do

that's what i figured that's what you'd say. nothing you can do then. higher quality takes more processing power, therefore more power.

perhaps a phone with a bigger battery will let you watch longer. or carry an extra battery pack. otherwise you're stuck where you're at now.

Yea ill replace the battery in the next month it might help a bit

You are not really understanding what you are looking at and misinterpreting it as an issue.. That % is what part of the total battery use the application uses, just because it's a larger % than something else does not mean it's an issue. It just shows that it takes more power to run than something else. When YouTube is the only thing you are running on the phone, then yes the % of battery use would be higher over time.

What you need to do is check on your phone model and compare how long it lasts for you vs how long a standard benchmark states it should last, or compare what you get to your friends phones.

Start with a 100% battery, run YouTube for 30 minutes, note how much % you lost. Then run something like a music app or another video service at 100% battery for 30 minutes, compare the results.
