Youtube video freezes

For a few weeks now, youtube videos freeze randomly or whenever i skip to a point. it will freeze and sound will still be playing and after 5 seconds, the video will just buffer forever. I have waited for it to un-buffer but it never does. i have to refresh the page everytime it freezes. I have tried to change browsers and the same problem happens. any suggestions?

Check your broadband

First, make sure it's not a slow internet connection causing the problem http://www.speedtest.net/

Uninstall Flash

YouTube itself now uses HTML5 as the default way to play videos, having dropped Flash back in 2015. So it can be Adobe Flash that's causing your problem. But just to double-check that this isn't the case, head to Control Panel > Programs and then Uninstall a Program and remove Adobe Flash player

In your Browser check to see if "Use Hardware Acceleration when available". Is checked or unchecked, Try it both ways.

RAM can be a issue to make sure your not maxing out so close anything you don't need.
