YouTube Video Much Smaller 1080p Monitor

So I have a 1080p monitor and I noticed this annoying problem on my YouTube videos. The size of the video changes, depending on where my taskbar is.

Taskbar at the bottom:

As you can see, when I put the taskbar on the side, the video is much bigger which I prefer. However, when I leave it at the bottom then my video becomes tiny (in proportion to the white space around it). I know theres a button for large player, but then I have to scroll down to see recommended videos and stuff which I don't like. I just want how the video looks when the taskbar is on the side, but with the taskbar at the bottom instead.

Any ideas?

Just zoom in? That looks like Chrome you're using? So you click the three horizontal lines in the top right of screen.
Or easier still, hold down CTRL and use the scroll wheel on your mouse.

Then I can only see 3 vids on the side
